After a couple of weeks off, it’s One-Hit Wonder Wednesday! Each week, I’ll pick a one-hit wonder to stir nostalgia and make us all ask “what were people thinking?”
This week, it’s “Georgy Girl” by The Seekers.
Let’s head back to the mid-’60s for this one hit wonder from the UK. This song was the theme for the 1966 movie of the same name starring Lynn Redgrave. It hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1967 and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song.
