It’s One-Hit Wonder Wednesday! Each week, I’ll pick a one-hit wonder to stir nostalgia and make us all ask “what were people thinking?”
This week, it’s “Joy” by Apollo 100.
This nearly note-for-note remake of Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” by the British (again with the Brits!) instrumental studio band Apollo 100 hit the charts in 1972, showing once again that some odd stuff was hitting the pop charts in the early ’70s!
Check back next week for another One Hit Wonder Wednesday!
