It’s One-Hit Wonder Wednesday! Each week, I’ll pick a one-hit wonder to stir nostalgia and make us all ask “what were people thinking?”
This week, we’re going back 40 years to 1974 and “Beach Baby” by First Class.
First Class was a British (!) studio creation. They recorded “Beach Baby” as an homage to ’60s beach music like the Beach Boys and Jan and Dean. And, considering they were British and nowhere NEAR southern California (or a beach for that matter), really did nail it.
Check back next week for another One-Hit Wonder Wednesday!
