This week, it’s “Got to Be Real” by Cheryl Lynn.
Cheryl was discovered on “The Gong Show,” that wonderfully gonzo half-hour “talent” show that featured some truly bizarre acts but produced one of the great one hit wonders of the ’70s.
And I still can’t figure out how, with a voice like that, she wasn’t HUGE for years.
